Budding country star Kane Brown earned himself an accolade many new artists can only hope to achieve… a No.1 debut record on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart! The singer, who moved 51,000 units, is the best-selling debut country act since Sam Hunt and 2014’s Montevallo.

“I’m so grateful to all the fans, and to Dann Huff, Matt McVaney and the songwriters on the album, who helped me tell my story to the world through this record. A No. 1 Country album is a dream come true, made possible through the hard work of everyone involved,” said Brown.

Brown penned seven of the 11 tracks, including the autobiographical “Learning.” He also co-wrote tracks with country music heavy-hitters Florida Georgia Line and Chris Young.

“They’re just huge idols of mine and they’re stars,” Brown told Sounds Like Nashville previously. “For me to just come off Facebook and be able to work with them is just an honor. Chris is just a quick and fast writer and FGL has a lot of hits under their belt too, so to have songs by both of them is just awesome, especially being Chris Young’s first cut because he hasn’t had a cut outside yet and I’m his first.”

Brown celebrated the release with his national television debut on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week and a follow-up performance on NBC’s Today Show.

Fans can pick up their copy of Kane Brown, featuring his hits “Used To Love You Sober” and “Thunder in the Rain” on iTunes now.
