Rising country-Latin duo Kat & Alex have released a breathtaking music video for their soaring ballad, “Heartbreak Tour.”

The visual paints an alternate reality of what life would’ve been like if the touring musicians had taken separate musical journeys. Filmed at Seventh Story Studios and the historic Franklin Theater in Franklin, Tennessee, it opens with scenes of both Kat & Alex passionately in love with each other, before panning to their unforeseen post-breakup life.

Misery engulfs both singers as they deliver the poignant chorus, If I could turn this thing around / And go back to the love we found / Maybe then I could feel a little more / Like I’m sitting on top of the world / Singing out every love song that I could think of / With sold out shows on every coast.”

The breathtaking visual then concludes with an emotional twist, ignited by Kat’s soaring powerhouse vocals, one comparable to the likes of Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson.

“Being able to visually create the story behind ‘Heartbreak Tour’ with the help of [director] Doltyn Snedden was pure magic,” the happily married husband and wife pair tell Sounds Like Nashville. “Breaking down the lyrics and telling our story in a really cinematic way allowed us to show fans the true meaning of ‘Heartbreak Tour’ and how much the song means to us.”

Earlier this month, Kat & Alex dropped both the self-penned “Heartbreak Tour” and the feel-good summer song “You and the Radio,” written by hit songmakers Jordan Minton, Mark Trussell and Robyn Collins. The tracks followed their wildly successful Sony Music Nashville debut single “How Many Times” which, to date, has amalgamated over 8 million streams on Spotify alone.

Next month, Kat & Alex will be featured on our Get To Know series, a Q&A column that spotlights promising newcomers in Nashville. While you wait to find out more about them, watch the stirring “Heartbreak Tour” video above.
