Emerging Country-Latin duo Kat & Alex are heating things up with their brand new summery video for “You and the Radio.”

Filmed in the Kelso Sand Dunes in California, the stunning visual depicts the pair driving down a wide open road, clearly smitten with each other and unperturbed by the happenings of the world. At some point, Kat & Alex get so lost in each other’s endearing gaze that even love skeptics might start considering romance again.

“Making the ‘You And The Radio’ video had to be one of the most exciting experiences we’ve had since moving to Nashville! We took our director Doltyn (Snedden) with a small crew, and just spent the day driving around in an incredible vintage Thunderbird,” the duo’s Kat Luna and Alex Georgia share of their filming experience.

“The entire approach to the video was to have fun, blast some music, and cruise around with nothing but open road and good times. We captured all of that in this video, and can’t wait for everyone to enjoy it as much as we did!”

Sonically, “You and the Radio” embraces an anthemic country-pop production that, when coupled with its passionate lyrics, serves as the perfect soundtrack for a romantic getaway. “Come on baby, let’s chase that sun down / Put our names down on a no-name street / Get so lost now we can’t get found in that get down melody,” the real-life married couple sing in the chorus, as they cruise down a scenic, semi-arid desert.

Penned by Robyn Collins, Jordan Minton and Mark Trussell, the vibrant tune also pays tribute to two beloved 90’s country hits: Deana Carter’s “Strawberry Wine” and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Fishin’ in the Dark.”

Earlier in April, Kat & Alex released “You and the Radio” along with their stunning emotional ballad, “Heartbreak Tour. The tracks follow their massive debut single, “How Many Times,” which was also spotlighted on SiriusXM The Highway.

The promising country duo were also recently featured on SLN’s “Get To Know” new artist introduction series. In case you missed it, check out the exclusive interview here.
