Keith Urban is currently performing on his Keith Urban: Live in Vegas residency at Caesars Palace, and he treated fans to a cover of one of Adele’s biggest hits at a recent show. In a video posted to social media by the superstar, Urban stands onstage and tells the crowd he’d like to give a “special dedication” to “somebody I just absolutely adore as a performer, as a songwriter, a trailblazer.” With only his acoustic guitar in hand, Urban then launches into Adele’s worldwide hit, “Easy on Me.” Urban sings the first verse and chorus of the song as the crowd sings along.

Urban booked the Live In Vegas dates in a hurry after Adele postponed her own residency, which was set to kick off January 21. Adele announced the postponement of the residency in January, citing COVID as the reason the show had been delayed. Urban shared with People that he then received a “panicked call” from the venue organizers asking if he could fill in the dates left vacant by Adele.

“I love that room,” he shared with the outlet. “The stage is literally an arena, it’s insane.”

Urban has two more shows in Vegas this weekend (April 1 and 2) before kicking off the seven-date, UK leg of his Speed of Now World Tour. He will return to Vegas on May 27 to wrap up the residency with three more shows. Urban will then begin the US leg of his Speed of Now World Tour on June 17 in Tampa, FL. The tour will run through November 5 in St. Paul, MN. Ingrid Andress will join him.
