If anyone could break down one of the most popular Top 40 songs of the year to make it their own unique bop, it would be Keith Urban.

The ‘Polaroid’ singer busted out his acoustic guitar to perform his own rendition of Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now” for his YouTube page. The original version of the song features a futuristic disco beat and a booming bass, but Urban made it his own by strumming the guitar to the quick-paced tempo while singing out the empowering lyrics he loves.

“That line ‘don’t start caring about me now’ — SO relatable,” Urban said as a part of his Instagram caption for a clip of the at-home performance.

Not only was Urban’s talent on display in the cover, but his guitar also made a statement with some of the song titles from his upcoming album written all around the wood. Some of the teaser names included “Superman,” “Wait,” “Change Your Mind” and his recent single, “God Whispered Your Name.”

Like his country counterparts, Urban has been enjoying time at home with his family as well as keeping up with his music in the studio during the COVID-19 pandemic. He even embraced the social distance concert experience by hosting a drive-in show for medical workers back in May.

Urban’s forthcoming record, “The Speed of Now Part One,” will debut on September 18.
