Kelsea Ballerini popped the top on “Hole In the Bottle” at the 54th Annual CMA Awards, delivering her bubbly current single as a much-needed night cap.

Ordering up a lighthearted drinking song to end a sometimes-challenging night, Ballerini injected the show with energy and fun — and her signature brand of funky dance moves. Arriving in a sassy top hat and sleek, tuxedo-inspired stage costume, she stalked the stage from end to end and called the crowd to get moving, even though they were basically glued to their seats in accordance with COVID-19 precautions. But Ballerini just couldn’t help herself, enjoying every minute and making the show feel like something from the before-times — just for a moment.

“There’s a hole in the bottle / Leakin’ all this wine / It’s already empty and it ain’t even suppertime / Honey, no, I don’t miss him / In fact, it slipped my mind / There’s a hole in the bottle of wine,” goes the saucy track’s hook.

Ballerini premiered her fun filled video for “Hole In the Bottle” back in August, and the single is featured as part of her 2020 kelsea album. Co-hosted by Darius Rucker and Reba McEntire, the 54th Annual CMA Awards aired live on ABC from Nashville’s Music City Center on November 11.
