Kelsea Ballerini + Halsey Revive ‘Coyote Ugly’ on 2020 CMT Music Awards
These ladies killed it!
Kelsea Ballerini and pop star Halsey team up for a dark duet at the 2020 CMT Music Awards, taking the stage for a rendition of Ballerini’s “The Other Girl.”
Set inside an empty bar in Los Angeles, California, the performance found Ballerini and Halsey playing two sides of a heartbreaking love triangle. Ballerini kicked the song off looking like a resolute rocker in dark eye shadow and strung out hair, with long tan legs and a black jumpsuit. She rolled through the vibey, propulsive jam until Halsey arrived half way through, climbing up on the bar Coyote Ugly style in black leather pants and knee high boots.
With sensual vocals and plenty of eye daggers thrown between them, the duo finished the track off staring face to face on a small stage, but still hadn’t figured out which one was “The Other Girl.”
Coming into the night, the women were also nominated for CMT Performance of the Year with the song “Graveyard,” which they performed during their CMT Crossroads taping. The award went to Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani for “Nobody But You.”
The 2020 CMT Music Awards air Wednesday, October 21st at 8:00PM ET/7:00PM CT on CMT, MTV, MTV2, Logo, Paramount Network, Pop and TV Land.
