Kelsea Ballerini invites fans to binge on a visual feast in her new video for “Hole In the Bottle,” filling her latest clip with color and creativity.

Calling the over-the-top montage “a drunken daydream” on Instagram, the clip features a mix of old-timey black-and-white scenes and vibrant dancing — plus a series of seductive looks and even a callback to Shania Twain’s iconic “Man (I Feel Like a Woman)” video.

It was choreographed by Joy Spears and filmed by Hannah Lux Davis in Nashville, and features procession of dream-like fantasies, each one different from the next. Ballerini begins inside an old silent film, but then moves boldly into the technicolor present, playfully dancing with a pair of friends and modeling eye-catching outfits all along.

At one point the hit maker is found painting in her undies, then playing chess against herself, and later on seems to pull from the masculine look made famous by Twain in her ’90s video heyday. Ambitious in substance and scope, it’s a long way from Ballerini’s first music video — pointing to a country star who’s looking to redefine the term, and continue to evolve over time.

Featuring a lighthearted theme and an uptempo beat, “Hole In the Bottle” is the third single released from Ballerini’s kelsea album, which was released in March. The track follows previous singles “The Other Girl” (with Halsey) and “Homecoming Queen?”
