Country superstar Kenny Chesney knows there’s plenty of ugly in the world — especially with a resurgent pandemic wreaking havoc around the nation once more. But the optimistic hit maker is all about finding silver linings, and his new video for “Beautiful World” helps spread the message.

Part of his expanded Here and Now Deluxe album, the track is all about celebrating the magic of life — even when proverbial storms rage. And by capturing some of his everyday life in the Carribbean islands, the “Beautiful World” video brings the mantra to life. Leaning in to his coastal country vibe, it invites fans into his world, until his massive stadium shows start again.

“I was thinking about that feeling, thinking about how I could maybe capture it – and give it back to the people, and it hit me: show them some of the best days of my life out on the water,” Chesney says of the video’s grateful nature. “The beauty, the easy way the sun hangs in the sky and the water just goes on and on? It makes you happy just to see it. So from me to No Shoes Nation, until we’re together again, take this video and remember, it really is a beautiful world.”

Directed by Shaun Silva and made to capture the feel of sailing, the laid-back video was filmed home-movie style, full of the sandy beaches and postcard-worthy bays of that form Chesney’s world. Living there sure helps the superstar keep his glass-half-full outlook, but he figures everyone can do the same.

“It always amazes me, the things I see when I actually look,” he says. “This world is a beautiful place, and I feel bad for all the people who won’t open up their eyes and take that in.”

“It’s a big old beautiful world out there / Sometimes you just gotta let it take you where / The roller coaster ride meets the tilt-a-whirl / It’s a big old beautiful world,” the chorus goes.

“Beautiful World” joins the current single from Kenny Chesney, with the contemplative “Knowing You” out now. Back in June, Chesney announced plans for this Here and Now stadium tour, which will kick off in the spring of 2022.
