Country trio Lady A are busting out the bubbly in honor of another Number One, toasting the success of their latest single, “Champagne Night.”

Marking the band’s 11th career chart topper and biggest hit since 2019, the news finds Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood back on top for a multi-week Number One. Taking a no-frills approach to living high class, the lighthearted anthem is also the first radio single to be chosen from the NBC reality songwriting competition, Songland, and it was co-penned by the trio with show mentor Shane McNally and contestant Madeline Merlo.

With an upbeat rhythm and the band’s invigorating harmony, “Champagne Night” is all about choosing blue jeans over tuxedos, bonfires over formal balls and Bud Light over Dom Perignon, and the trio say it’s the perfect way to start off a new year.

“Since we started the journey with ‘Champagne Night’ every step of the process has been so special to us,” Scott says in a statement. “We couldn’t be more thankful for all the support from our fans and friends at Country radio and to Songland for believing in the song as much as we did. I can’t believe we get to start 2021 off with a multi-week No. One….it almost feels unreal!”

“Champagne Night” has spent three weeks on top of the Mediabase/Country Aircheck Singles chart, and two at Number One on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. The track appears on the recent Lady A album, Ocean Deluxe Edition, and marks their first chart topper since 2019’s “What If I Never Get Over You.”
