Lady Antebellum reveal the heart of “What I’m Leaving For” in a new video for the touching track, showing off a series of never-before-seen family photos.

All about the catch-22 of needing to leave their families in order to support them, the song is featured on the band’s upcoming Ocean album, and the video brings its message to life. It’s full of heartwarming baby pics from each of the band’s three members, plus videos of what Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood are up to while they’re on the road. Then it all comes together in the end, with each family reuniting as the chorus rings on.

“There’s nothing stronger than family and we miss ours so much every time we leave for the road,” the band writes on social media. “We wouldn’t change it for the world though because there’s no other feeling like returning home and seeing the excitement on our kids’ faces.”

“It kills me that i gotta go / Couldn’t do it if I didnt know / You know this heart of mine is yours / And every time I’m walking out that door / You know what I’m leaving for,” goes the heartwarming hooks.

“I wore out the demo for this song,” Haywood says. “I immediately related to it. It’s so hard stepping away from your family the way we do, and that song is such a great, beautiful way of articulating what we’re out here doing this for – our families, and those that we love and the fans that love us, too. This song is a beautiful picture of that push and pull of our journey.”

In other Lady A news, the band was inducted into Nashville’s Music City Walk of Fame on Tuesday (October 22) by Tim McGraw, and their current single, “What If I Never Get Over You,” is working its way up the charts. Ocean comes out November 15.
