The Lady Antebellum family keeps growing in size. There are now six children between band members Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood, and all their kids are incredibly excited for the Christmas season. Scott, who has a six-year-old daughter and twin one-year-old daughters, is looking forward to an energetic Christmas.

“This will be the first year that all three of my girls are running around like mad,” she says. “Last year the twins were a little smaller and not as mobile as they are now, but it’ll be awesome. I think they’ll be able to understand a little bit more of the magic of Christmas. And we’re totally going to do it, the matching Christmas jammies. It’s going to be awesome. My oldest, Eisele, is six, so she’s in full blown like, ‘How many days until Christmas?’ She’s getting so excited, so I think it’s going to be really special.”

Charles Kelley, will be spending Christmas with his wife Cassie and three-year-old son Ward, and he’s mostly excited to see Christmas through his son’s eyes.

“Being able to live Christmas now — being able to live vicariously through your kids makes it so much more enjoyable,” he says.

In Dave Haywood’s house, it’s going to be all about spending time with his five-year-old son, Cash, and his soon-to-be two-year-old daughter, Lillie. He’s especially excited for the night before Christmas.

“I don’t think my wife will get me anything this year. It’s all about the kids,” says Haywood. “The presents for the adults have kind of gone to the wayside, but it’ll be fun Christmas morning. I love Christmas Eve. That’s probably my favorite time. Such a special time of family, to read a Christmas story, and to be together and the anticipation with the kids and getting to bed.”

While their children’s faces are sure to light up due to the presents they receive on Christmas morning, finding time to shop for those presents is the hardest part. As full-time, touring musicians, the members of Lady Antebellum are incredibly thankful to be living the in age of online shopping.

“I do not start six months ahead, but I will say that with our travels and just with the busyness of the season we’re in, online shopping is the greatest gift,” says Scott. “That can be my gift for Christmas — the fact that I can just online shop.”

“The online thing is pretty money,” adds Kelley. “I always really kick myself in the butt when I go to the store to pick out gifts for my nieces and nephews, and then I’ve got to ship it and I realize I spent more on the shipping that I did on the gift. That’s where online is the way to go.”
