Emerging country singer and American Idol winner Laine Hardy has returned with his first new release of the year, “Memorize You.”

Arriving on the heels of a soon-approaching summer, Laine’s breezy song highlights a blossoming romance fitting for the season. On the track, the singer passionately declares his desire to know every little detail about his love interest.

“I wanna know your heart by heart and your kiss by kiss / Wanna know what it was like / Every day before me what’s your story / Baby, every single line / What makes you laugh makes you dance makes you fall like only love can do / Give me some time with your smile / Baby, I wanna memorize you,” Laine sings on the summery up-tempo tune.

Of the song, the Baton Rouge, Louisiana native says: “I’ve been so excited to get this out since the moment I heard the mix. I’ve been asking and asking when we could put it out.  Well, it’s here and it’s time to hit the road to play it for the fans.”

Additionally, Laine unveiled the official music video for “Memorize You” on Facebook. Directed by Dustin Haney, the clip follows the falling in love journey of a young couple, and was shot on various sites across 30A in Florida.

“Memorize You” is the follow-up to Laine’s earlier releases, which include “Ground I Grew Up On,” “Tiny Town” and most recently, “Other LA.”

Laine is also set to return to his old stomping ground on this coming Sunday’s episode of American Idol. Fans can tune in live coast-to-coast on Sunday, May 16 at 8:00-10:00 p.m. EST on ABC.
