Country superstar and actress LeAnn Rimes has shared with fans a glimpse of Netflix’s Country Comfort.

The ten-episode comedy series, which premieres on March 19, follows the journey of Bailey (Katherine McPhee), an aspiring young country singer, who ends up taking a job as nanny for a rugged cowboy, Beau (Eddie Cibrian), and his five children following the derailment of her career and personal life. With an unwavering determination and Southern charm, the rookie nanny takes on the family’s messy dynamics while filling in the tender mother figure void they’ve been missing. To her delight, through this unexpected gig, the talented musical family ends up being the band Bailey needs to get her back on the road to stardom.

In the preview clip, Rimes joins in the family’s vibrant performance of “Can’t Fight The Moonlight,” one of her hit songs originally featured in the 2000 film, Coyote Ugly. Adding humor in to the moment, an excited McPhee is decked out in a fan t-shirt that reads, “LeAnn Freakin’ Rimes.”

During a recent interview with ET Online, Cibrian, who’s been married to Rimes for 10 years now, shared that his wife was elated to guest appear on the show.

“Before the pandemic, she would come and watch the first couple episodes. She really, really liked the show. She didn’t hesitate at all,” the actor revealed. “She said, ‘I’d love to do it.'”

McPhee added, “That was a fun episode. It was a good time. [LeAnn] had a great time. I think that the audience will see that episode and they’re gonna enjoy it as well.”

Outside of her upcoming sitcom cameo, Rimes is set to appear on the Recording Academy’s two-hour TV special: A Grammy Salute to the Sounds of Change. Joining her are fellow artists Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, Brad Paisley, Gladys Knight, Yolanda Adams, Leon Bridges, D Smoke, Andra Day, Sheila E., Cynthia Erivo, John Fogerty, Patti LaBelle, Terrace Martin, Billy Porter, and Emily, Emilio and Gloria Estefan. The special will broadcast on CBS on Wednesday, March 17, from 9-11 p.m. ET/PT. It will also be available via livestream and on-demand on Paramount+.
