With the release of the deluxe version of his album, Tangled Up, Thomas Rhett decided to bring out a new single from the collection called “Star of the Show.”

Inspired by his wonderful wife, Lauren, Rhett wrote the swingy love song describing his dream girl as being the only one he sees in the spotlight. She’s his whole world and nothing can stop him from keeping his eyes on her. Swoon-worthy and groovy enough to warrant radio airplay, it’s definitely one to get couples swaying back and forth with one another.

“’Star of the Show’ is one of those songs that I have lived with for a while and kept coming up as a song we needed to record and get to the fans,” explained Rhett recently. “I wrote it with my dad right after I got married, and it was the first song I ever wrote about Lauren. It was a staple in our set before we had any hits and fans still request it to this day. The Deluxe allows us to thank our fans for an incredible year by putting out a few new songs like this one, and also by reworking a couple of favorites by adding some friends into the mix.”

The deluxe edition of Tangled Up will feature all of the hits from the original release and will also have some new songs including “Star of the Show.” The album will be available for purchase on October 28, with “Star of the Show” hitting radio airwaves today, September 30.

Take a listen to “Star of the Show” and be sure to add Rhett’s catalogue playlist to your Spotify now.
