Country group Little Big Town are hitting the dance floor in electronic style, teaming up with the DJ collective Cheat Codes and Bryn Christopher for “Never Love You Again.”

Full of pulsating dance-club energy and featuring a blood-pumping thump, the track is out now and ready to heat up the summer of 2021.

The track is reportedly the brainchild of Cheat Codes, who are the production trio of Los Angeles DJs, KEVI, Trevor Dahl and Matthew Russell. They’re joined by British soul and R&B talent Bryan Christopher and the LBT foursome — Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Kimberly Schlapman and Phillip Sweet — and this is a collab country fans didn’t see coming.

“We’ve been fans of Little Big Town since we started Cheat Codes and to collaborate with the country icons has always been a bucket list goal of ours,” says Cheat Codes in explaining the project. “Close friend and incredible creative Bryn Christopher sent over the beautiful idea he had started with Andrew Jackson and we just ran with it. We love to cross genres with our music and ‘Never Love You Again’ gave us a natural opportunity to make it happen. We hope this song finds everyone enjoying their summer with friends and family! We can’t wait to see you all on the road.”

“Collaborating with artists in other genres has been one of our favorite experiences as a band,” added LBT’s Westbrook.

It’s already been a busy summer for Little Big Town, who have a number of projects in the works. Along with “Never Love You Again,” the band’s mariachi-flavored country radio single, “Wine, Beer, Whiskey,” is out now, and Fairchild is featured on another outside track, joining Emily Weisband for the fluttery “Butterfly.” Meanwhile, the band will restart The Nightfall Tour with three back-to-back theater shows in Denver, September 3-5.
