Lucas Hoge, Jamie O’Neal Team Up for Holiday Classic, “Let It Snow”

Country singer/songwriter Lucas Hoge is gearing up to release his Christmas album 12.25 next month. But before that, Sounds Like Nashville has your exclusive first listen of Hoge’s rendition of “Let It Snow” featuring platinum-selling artist, Jamie O’Neal.

The singers’ version is every bit cheery and cozy, while also brimming with playful holiday romance. On the song, O’Neal’s velvety harmonies perfectly meld with Hoge’s charming croons, as they sing, “The fire is slowly dying / And, my dear, we’re still goodbyin’ / As long as you love me so / Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.”

“I’ve always been a Christmas music NUT and have wanted to record the classic “Let It Snow ” as a duet because it’s one of those joyfully playful songs that everybody loves. I’ve been a huge fan of Jamie O’Neal and her amazing voice, so it was no question that I wanted to perform this song with her.  Kent Wells brought this vision to life and so much more on the project, including another amazing duet with the incredibly talented Skip Ewing. I hope this record will turn into a family tradition in everyone’s home this Christmas and each one after.”

O’Neal adds, “It was so much fun doing ‘Let it Snow’ with Lucas who’s an old friend and what a singer! I think we sound great together on this classic song. Can’t wait for y’all to hear it.”

“Let It Snow” will be featured on Hoge’s forthcoming holiday record, 12.25. Due out November 16, the 12-track set includes the Nebraska native’s reimagined versions of staples such as “O Holy Night,” “Wonderful Christmastime,” and “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” as well as four brand-new original songs. The album is produced by the GRAMMY-nominated Kent Wells, who also produced Dolly Parton’s A Holly Dolly Christmas, which dropped last year.

“Kent Wells brought this vision to life and so much more on this project, with another amazing duet with the amazing Skip Ewing (“Mrs Santa Claus”),” shares Hoge in excitement. “I hope this record will turn into a family transition in everyone’s house this and Christmas and each one after.”
