Luke Bryan Performs ‘What She Wants Tonight’ Live on ‘Fallon’

Luke Bryan unveiled his heart-pounding new single on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Sunday night (October 27), bringing the lusty “What She Wants Tonight” to life in it’s first live performance.
Not just the track’s first live performance, Bryan told his host it was just the second time he had ever performed it at all, but it came off just as easy as its smooth-talking theme. Dressed casual in a black hoodie and ripped jeans, Bryan crooned in his gentle Georgia drawl all about a lover’s magnetic charm — plus a wink and nod at the pair’s sensual appetite. With a pulsating spine running underneath and multiple vocal runs (maybe American Idol is rubbing off?), the track was written by Bryan with Ross Copperman, Hillary Lindsey and Jon Nite, and is likely the second taste of his next album release.
“She gets what she wants / And I get to be what she wants tonight,” goes the hot-blooded chorus hook.
Earlier in the show, Bryan sat down to chat with Fallon about earning the ACM’s first ever Album of the Decade award, his side job on American Idol and his (terrifyingly) hilarious experience singing national anthem at the 2017 Super Bowl.
“What She Wants Tonight” follows Bryan’s “Knockin’ Boots” — yet another Platinum certified No.1 — and American Idol is currently auditioning for a new season with Bryan as co-judge, premiering next spring on ABC.
