Luke Combs Releases Timely And Encouraging ‘Six Feet Apart’

Award-winning country superstar Luke Combs has released “Six Feet Apart,” a song the singer wrote during this ongoing global pandemic about the simple joys he misses because of social distancing and being “six feet apart.”

Co-written with Brent Cobb and Rob Snyder, Combs debuted the poignant song during a livestream concert last month, which left fans wondering if a studio version was in the works for release.

I miss my mom, I miss my dad / I miss the road, I miss my band / Giving hugs and shaking hands / It’s a mystery I suppose / Just how long this thing goes,” Combs confesses emotionally in the chorus. “But there’ll be crowds and there’ll be shows / And there will be light after dark / Someday when we aren’t six feet apart.”

In a post on Facebook, the country hitmaker shared that “Six Feet Apart” is “a song about everything going on, what it has me missing, and things I’m looking forward to.” “Hope y’all can relate and reminds y’all there will be light after the dark,” he added.

While “Six Feet Apart” makes its way to fans music playlists, “Does To Me”, Combs’ latest single with Eric Church, currently sits inside the Top 5 on the Mediabase Country chart and is on the cusp of reaching No. 1.
