Maren Morris celebrates a rock-solid relationship in the new video for “The Bones,” bringing fans inside her personal life with a revealing vacation scrapbook.

Following Morris and her singer-songwriter husband, Ryan Hurd, as they unplug from the world on an island paradise, the clip was directed by Alex Ferrari and features purposely grainy footage to give the impression of a vintage home movie. Filled with steamy swim sessions, oceanside lounging and jungle hikes filled with tropical flowers, it shows Morris and Hurd’s marriage in full bloom. The musical pair were wed in March of 2018.

In a post on her Instagram, Morris explains she and Hurd were in Maui, Hawaii, exploring the 64 mile long Hana Highway.

“The Road to Hana is beautiful but a hell of a trek… kind of like the most meaningful & lasting human relationships we get to have,” she wrote. “This is our journey on film for ‘The Bones’ directed by our friend and Maui aficionado @AlexMFerrari.”

“The Bones” is part of Morris’ chart topping sophomore album, Girl, and she just scored her latest No.1 with the project’s title track — the first first solo song by a woman to top the Billboard Country Airplay Chart since February 2018.

Morris will kick off another leg of her GIRL: The World Tour later this month, and then support Miranda Lambert on her Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars tour through the fall. She’ll end up back in Hawaii at the end of the year, performing at the Maui Songwriters Festival which takes place December 3-8.
