Mason Ramsey Continues To Showcase Country Roots On Twang EP

12-year-old emerging country singer Mason Ramsey returns with his Twang EP, a five-song collection that marries his traditional country roots with touches of contemporary production. The EP is also Ramsey’s first release of new music since his Famous EP, which dropped last year.

Taking a step out onto his own field, Ramsey’s Twang EP features the fan-favorite title track, “Twang,” as well as four brand new tracks. “Puddle Of Love” is one tune that could’ve easily found its fit and been cut by country legends like Hank Williams, Faron Young or Conway Twitty back in the day. It is also on this catchy traditional country singalong that the 12-year-old Illinois native makes his songwriter debut on.

Sonically, on this project, the Big Loud recording artist truly doesn’t shy away from his inherent country roots, which is evident from the use of steel guitar and fiddle in most, if not all of the songs. Acclaimed writers and artists such as Jon Pardi, Tenille Townes,
Corey Crowder, Emily Shackleton and Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard (from Florida Georgia Line), are also credited as contributors on Ramsey’s second EP.

The release of Twang EP comes on the heels of Ramsey’s newly-added feature on the beloved worldwide crossover multi-genre hit by Lil Nas X, “Old Town Road,” which featured both Ramsey, country icon Billy Ray Cyrus and Young Thug. The song has, to date, surpassed over 20 million streams globally in the first week, and catapulted Ramsey to Twitter’s No.1 Worldwide Trending Topic.
