“Prayed for You” hit maker Matt Stell surrenders to heartbreak in the moody new single, “Everywhere But On,” crisscrossing the country in an attempt to outrun a memory … but ultimately getting nowhere.

Tapping into the realization that living like a rolling stone isn’t what it’s cracked up to be, “Everywhere But On” is the title track of Stell’s debut EP, co-written by the singer with Paul Sikes and Lance Miller. Featuring the lanky Arkansas native’s easy-rolling vocal and a potent sense of romantic despair, it’s got a classic, organic sound that still feels modern, paired smartly with an equally timeless theme.

“I’ve been from Savannah to Long Beach / Trying to keep your memory out of reach / But there you were in the Delta nights / The Santa Fe sun, the Colorado sky / I could add another push pin to the map / But that don’t stop me from missing you and looking back / Guess there’s just one place I haven’t gone / I’ve moved everywhere but on,” goes the vivid chorus.

“Everywhere But On” is the follow-up to Stell’s Gold-certified No.1 breakout, “Prayed for You,” and also the name of his first headline tour. Kicking off January 24 in San Diego, California, it’ll feature Chris Bandi and Ray Fulcher on 24 dates through March 28 in Biloxi, Mississippi.
