Meghan & Tyler Get the Party Started on ‘The Woah Down’ With Chingy
Worlds collide on this smile-inducing mashup.
Newcomers Meg & Tyler team with a rapper who knows his way around a good time in their new single, updating the ol’ hoe down for a new era on “The Woah Down” with Chingy.
Featuring an unlikely partnership between a former member of the duo Sweet Magnolias and a runner up on NBC’s The Voice (Meghan Linsey), a producer and Grammy nominated songwriter (Tyler Cain) and the hip hop star behind hits like “Right Thurr” and “Holidae In,” the track is a danceable country-rap anthem with “extra” everything. Arriving just as country fans need a lighthearted pick me up, it highlights Linsey’s effervescent vocal, Chingy’s instantly-recognizable tone and a beat-driven sound, all combing together through a party-starting theme.
“I’ve never been so pumped about a single release!” Linsey says of the new track. “This song is just joyful, and the world so desperately needs joy right now. I hope that people feel that when they hear it coming through their speakers.”
“Meg and I are such huge fans of Chingy, so working with him has been a dream,” Cain adds. “From the moment he walked in our studio, the energy has been so positive. We love creating with him and I think that really resonates on the track.”
