Filmed entirely by the Australian native himself, with some select clips shot by his bride, the videos showcases Evans’ love for the beach and adventure. Between swimming, touring in a helicopter and just driving around in a jeep, the video is a romantic romp through the islands.
“I’ve never been the drinking song guy, but this song came from a real place and is really more about spending a day with your person than it is about just going getting drunk,” Evans shared with ET. “There’s a reason why I love it so much and feel like I can sing it.”
His relationship with Ballerini has been a marital muse for Evans’ upcoming record. Between her “Unapologetically Tour” and his “10 In 10 Tour,” the two have been hustling long-distance nonstop, but they always make each other their priority. That trust and ability to put each other first contributed to his soon-to-be-announced U.S. debut record.
“There’s definitely a couple of really special love songs to me,” Evans teased during a recent chat with Sounds Like Nashville.
While rest and relaxation was just beachy, the singer/songwriter has been hard at work, climbing the country radio charts with his debut single, “Kiss Somebody.” The feel-good track sits within the Top 10 at country radio and has accumulated more than 41 million on-demand streams to date.
