Morgan Wallen Responds to ‘Dangerous’ Album Leak With New Music
The hitmaker's blasting Walmart for giving fans early access to his new project.
Morgan Wallen has blasted Walmart for “leaking” copies of his upcoming double album, Dangerous, responding with a leak of his own on social media Monday (January 4).
Wallen’s second LP is set to arrive on January 8, but the “More Than My Hometown” singer says Walmart has apparently already made copies of the new set available for purchase, and as a result, fans have begun sharing the songs.
Noting he’s worked toward the official release for three years and saying “I’ll be damned if I let Walmart do the leaking,” the hit maker then went to TikTok, where he posted snippets of multiple fresh songs off the album — including “Warning,” “Dangerous” and “Rednecks, Red Letters and Red Dirt” so far.

Warning (Leaked)
With a scintillating modern beat and a siren-call of a vocal hook, “Warning” arrives as a neon-lit romantic anthem, all about the ill effects of girl Wallen can’t resist. And “Dangerous,” meanwhile, seems to reference the spring 2020 arrest that landed Wallen in the back seat of a police cruiser. The up-tempo highlight is actually more about feeling good than being bad, though, as Wallen compares a night at home with his girl to a thrilling downtown adventure. They’ll be joined by previously released tracks like “Somebody’s Problem,” “Still Goin’ Down” and more, as Dangerous stretches out over 30 songs in total.

Wallen went on to say that he’s never been a big Walmart fan to begin with, but it should be noted that the singer had already struck a deal with Target to exclusively carry the bonus version of Dangerous. That will also arrive on January 8 and includes two bonus tracks.

“It’s kind of messed up,” Morgan Wallen said of the fiasco, “but I don’t shop at Walmart anyway. … If you’re gonna buy my album physically, go to Target, baby.”
