‘Nashville’s’ Hayden Panettiere Is Engaged

“Nashville’s” Hayden Panettiere is officially off the market.

The 24-year-old actress confirmed that she is engaged to longtime on-and-off boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko this morning on “LIVE with Kelly and Michael.” Rumors about the pair’s engagement have been circulating for months. Panettiere finally addressed it when co-host Kelly Ripa asked about the ring on her finger.

Panettiere came onto the set with a large boa constrictor around her neck, hoping to startle co-host Michael Strahan (who is afraid of snakes). Ripa was more interested in Panettiere’s new bling than the snake.

“I’m sort of distracted, not just by the snake, but there’s a very large diamond ring on your finger,” she said. “I’m not sure if you want to announce anything … does that signify anything, is that a promise of something?”

“It might be … I mean, I think it speaks for itself,” Panettiere responded, trying to play coy.

Ripa wasn’t having it. “Are you engaged?” she asked. Panettiere confirmed her suspicions saying, “I am.”

Klitschko, 37, is an Olympic boxing champion. The couple met in 2009 at a book party.
