Parmalee Returns to Radio with ‘Roots,’ Debuts New Music Video

This month is huge for Parmalee; in fact, it’s so huge, they’ve decided to take over radio with their ParMAYlee celebration.

Releasing their new single, “Roots,” to country radio was just the start of their whole shindig. The track has an anthemic vibe, setting the stage for their sophomore album. The music video for their latest hit just premiered as well and just as the theme of the song spells out, it’s all about where they came from and their hometown nostalgia.

The group announced the single as a part of a behind-the-scenes footage video from when they performed at their college alma mater, East Carolina University. Like that of the new music video, the homage to their upbringing highlighted in the behind-the-scenes clips was the perfect opportunity to tell their fans about their new music.

“It’s about where you come from and all the things that make you you. Those things always stay with you throughout life, and no matter how hard you might try, you can’t outrun them,” lead singer Matt Thomas said of the song.

Fans can join along with #ParMAYlee all month long by using the hashtag on social media and following the band as they premiere exclusive content leading up to their anticipated album.
