Rachel Reinert is putting a new spin on her song “All We Have,” originally released in April, with an acoustic video premiering on Sounds Like Nashville today. The video finds the former Gloriana band member armed with a guitar and singing the song’s poignant lyrics while her fellow musicians provide accompaniment.

“This is an acoustic live performance of my single ‘All We Have,’” says Reinert. “I was lucky enough to have some of my amazingly talented friends join me to give it an organic back-porch sound/feel. I had my co-writer Melissa Fuller on background vocals, Megan Jane on percussion, and Jon Randall on acoustic guitar and background vocals — all of these people whom I respect and look up to so much.”

The acoustic version’s laid-back feel not only shows off Reinert’s crystal clear voice, but it allows one to hone in on the uplifting lyrics, which find her shedding the material things in life and focusing on the people who truly matter.

“So I sold everything I had owned / From the clothes to the big blue home / It was just stuff keeping me stuck in rewind / Now I’m filling the new place up with picture frames / For the people that stayed when nothing remained,” she sings in the second verse.

Reinert follows up on the notion of finding one’s true self with the simple but meaningful chorus that repeats the words, “All we have is who we are.” True to the original version, the instruments then fade away at the end of the acoustic performance, as Reinert drives home the powerful message with just her voice.

“All We Have” follows “Dark Star” and “Cool” as Reinert’s third official solo single since her exit from Gloriana in 2016.
