RaeLynn Talks ‘God Made Girls’

Raelynn

It’s been two years since fans were first introduced to a spunky, young Texan named Raelynn on NBC’s “The Voice.”

During her blind audition, she caught the ears of coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, but ultimately went with her gut and chose to be on Team Blake. While she didn’t come out on top during her season, Raelynn went on to score a record deal with Republic Nashville and has been hard at work on her new music ever since.

Her debut single, “God Made Girls,” is finally hitting the airwaves this month, and it’s something she couldn’t be more excited about.

“I actually wrote it with three of my best friends here in Nashville, Lori McKenna, Liz Rose and Nicolle Galyon,” Raelynn shares.

She also points out that something pretty special happened in the 90 minutes it took them to finish the song. “What I didn’t realize is, when we wrote this song, is I’m 20, one of the girls is 30 and the other one’s 40 and the other one’s 50,” she explains. “That’s what makes the song so special, because you have all these different women in all their different perspectives of being a girl in this world, and you get four women together talkin’ about all the things that boys can’t do without girls and you’re gonna get a song like ‘God Made Girls’.”

“God Made Girls” is the lead single from Raelynn’s forthcoming debut album, which will be released later this year. Click HERE to purchase the track on Amazon.
