Keith Urban and John Mayer are both incredible vocalists and guitar players in their own right. So it’s no surprise that when they came together to share a stage, it was nothing short of magic.

In 2010, Urban and Mayer collaborated as a part of CMT Crossroads. Throughout the performance, the pair took turns singing tunes from both artists’ catalogues which resulted in a jaw dropping rendition of Urban’s 2009 smash, “Til Summer Comes Around.”

Urban started the ballad off as Mayer provided out-of-this-world harmonies and backup guitar. As the track continued, Mayer lead the way on vocals in the second verse before coming back together with Urban for a perfectly blended chorus.

“But I close my eyes and one more time/We’re spinning around and you’re holding on tightly/The words came out, I kissed your mouth/No Fourth of July has ever burned so brightly/You had to go, I understand/But you promised you’d be back again/And so I wander ’round this town/’Til summer comes around,” the chorus crooned.

And just as any Urban/Mayer collaboration should, the two finished off “Til Summer Comes Around” with an epic guitar jam. They each took their time in the spotlight to create a mesmerizing stream of both entertainment and music.

Though he won’t be joined by Mayer, you can catch Urban at the upcoming ACM Awards where he will not only be performing, but also nominated for seven awards, including the coveted Entertainer of the Year trophy.
