Newcomer trio Restless Road tribute a connection so strong it feels like home in the new track, “Hometown Tonight,” blending voices and genres for a red-hot romantic anthem. But its video puts that connection in peril.

Written by trio members Zach Beeken, Colton Pack, and Garrett Nichols, the emotional epic introduces a couple falling hard for each other. With a blast of high-energy production, it features wispy steel guitar mixed with crunchy power chords and the electric harmony of three distinct voices, singing of desire that instantly become something more. But while the song seems 100-percent sure of where this love story is going, its video is a total cliffhanger. It follows the couple as they get wrapped up in romance — only to have a tragedy leave their future in question.

“We were really excited to be able to get to release some more new music for the fans before we hit the road in a few weeks,” said Nichols of the track. “The reaction to our single and video for ‘Bar Friends’ has been amazing, and we wanted to put out ‘Hometown Tonight’ as a follow up so people can sing along.”

“Let me be your home, home, home, hometown tonight / I’ll be your backroad, on a long kiss good night / I’ll be that country station that we sang on / I’ll put you back on the map dot we was raised on / I’ll be your home, home, home, hometown tonight,” goes the chorus.

Restless Road are the first act signed to Kane Brown’s label, 1021 Entertainment, and “Hometown Tonight” marks the third track released in partnership with Sony Music Nashville. The trio unveiled their debut self-titled EP in early 2020, and have since released tracks like “Take Me Home” (featuring Brown), “Took One Look At Her Momma” and “Bar Friends.” Later this year, they’ll hit the road with Brown on his Blessed & Free Tour, hitting all 29 NBA arenas and more.
