Summer may be winding down, but that isn’t stopping Ryan Follese from enjoying some of summer’s best activities. Taking his debut country single “Float Your Boat” in the most literal sense, the singer soaked in some sun and passed around some drinks while out on the water for the accompanying music video.

“We kind of did something that’s a little bit self-explanatory, but basically, I’m like… I don’t know if you’ve ever seen this before, but a lot of times, on certain lakes and stuff, they have these ‘drink boats’ that’ll come up. They’ll make you cocktails and stuff like that on the water,” Follese told Sounds Like Nashville of the clip. “So basically, what I did was I went out with a drink kit on a bass boat and went into this awesome cove where all these boats were docked and I was going up and making drinks for people.”

The spontaneous shoot in Irmo, SC ended up turning into much more than Follese could’ve imagined, especially as word spread that they were filming for his video.

“Throughout the course of the day, as people found out we were filming a video, we had like extras and extras and extras and by the end of the video, we had tons of South Carolina’s people partying with us and hanging,” he explained with a laugh. “It was wild. We shot it all over like a 12, 14 hour day. It looks awesome.”

“Float Your Boat” is the lead single from Follese’s new self-titled EP and was co-written by the former Hot Chelle Rae frontman, Adrienne Follese, Jamie Follese, Keith Follese, Cameron Montgomery, and Josh Montgomery.
