Scooter Brown Band Lift Up a Man’s Saving Grace in ‘Leave It to a Woman’

The Scooter Brown Band salute a woman’s courageous spirit in the new single, “Leave It to a Woman,” premiering on Sounds Like Nashville today (May 14).

All about admiring a woman’s fearless love and unwavering devotion, the full-hearted anthem starts off like a quiet contemplation, but builds into a soaring epic of empathy. Acknowledging first that men and women often seem to exist in different realities, it goes to praise the indispensable grace of women everywhere — especially those who make the lives of their partners so complete. Featuring Brown’s muscular but sensitive vocal and swelling country-rock sonics, the band leader says this single comes straight from real life. “Leave it to a woman, to make you feel like a man,” goes the chorus payoff.

“My wife and I have been together for 15 years and have had our ups and downs,” he admits. “We have our moments that annoy each other but at the end of the day, I know she is what completes me. She makes me want to be a better man, husband and father. She’s always there for me, to support me and I absolutely would not be where I am today without her. I think there’s a lot of guys like me with woman like that in their lives. That’s what this song is about.”

After being featured on USA’s Real Country on Travis Tritt’s team, Brown and his band have gone on to earn their stripes as an act on the rise, even winning an award at the 2020 Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards. Looking ahead, they’ll join the 2020 Fire on the Mountain Tour with Charlie Daniels and Marshall Tucker Band.
