Scotty McCreery Peels Back To The Simple Things In ‘You Time’ Video
Scotty's new music video is giving us all the feels!
Country superstar Scotty McCreery is hitting pause and highlighting the simple bliss of romance on his new music video for “You Time.”
Directed by Brianna Fish, the visual follows a newlywed couple from their exciting “JUST MARRIED” moment to getting a house together and every love-filled moment in between. Also mirroring McCreery’s reality, the video features a musician as the male lead and the new bride as a student as they balance their vocations with being new life partners.
“When I wrote this song, I was on the road more than I’d ever been. I’d get home just in time to see [my wife] Gabi heading off to work so I was really craving ‘You Time’ with her,” shares McCreery, who also performs the song with his band on the video. “We wanted to capture that experience in the video plus we’ve got a really fun cameo so be sure you watch till the end!”
This past weekend, the North Carolina native took to “CMT Hot 20 Countdown” to premiere the official video for “You Time.” The episode featured an in-depth interview with McCreery from Nashville’s Mercy Lounge, where a portion of the clip was filmed to provide fans with a backstage glimpse of making the video.
“You Time” is the follow-up to McCreery’s three back-to-back No. 1 singles from his 2018 album Seasons Change: the RIAA Double-Platinum Certified “Five More Minutes,” RIAA Platinum-Certified “This Is It” and RIAA Gold-Certified “In Between.”
