Eighties and ’90s hit makers Shenandoah are heading back to country radio, teaming with current superstar Blake Shelton for the romantic standout, “Then a Girl Walks In.”

Part of the band’s star-studded 2020 album, Every Road, the track is a throwback anthem to love changing everything, written by Adam Sanders, Lance Miller, Brad Warren and Brett Warren. Featuring a classic sound with a patient, slow-dancing groove, it’s all about living the bachelor life and loving every minute — right up until you meet someone you can’t live without. And with the band’s Marty Raybon trading verses with Shelton, it feature two of country’s most recognizable vocals.

“Blake Shelton is truly a big piece of this new record. His vocals are as solid as a slab of concrete,” Raybon said of the track, speaking in an official statement around Every Road’s November release.

“We knew Blake must be a Shenandoah fan when he picked one of our songs for the past four seasons in a row on ‘The Voice’ for his artists to sing, but we never dreamed we’d have the opportunity to actually do a duet with him personally,” co-founding member Mike McGuire added. “What a blessing!”

The track is now going for spins on country radio stations across the nation, and along with the Shelton collaboration, Every Road fins Shenandoah teaming with a who’s who of current country talent.
