Newcomer Shy Carter toasts the elixir of country life in his new collab, “Beer With My Friends,” teaming up with fellow stars Cole Swindell and David Lee Murphy for the job.

Raising a glass for an uptempo tribute to popping tops, it’s an anthem made for living every day like a Friday night.

Co-written by Carter and Murphy with Bryan Simpson as a summertime good time soundtrack, “Beer With My Friends” is a singalong jam with a one-track mind. The three country singers share in a desperate need to leave their daily worries behind, and hit the bar for a little liquid rejuvenation. It’s all in good fun and features a rowdy, party-country sound — and according to Carter, everybody’s on the guest list.

“My hope is that ‘Beer With My Friends’ becomes the go-to anthem for all of the beautiful people out there who want to have a blast enjoying life with their friends and families!” he says. “It was a dream come true to collaborate with two of my favorite party-starters, Cole Swindell and David Lee Murphy. I’m a huge fan of them both, and I’m so honored that they would sing this crazy, energetic, amazing song with me. We had so much fun putting it all together – and there’s a whole lot more fun coming with this one! The party never stops when ‘Beer With My Friends’ is playing. Wooooo!!”

“Right now I really need a beer with my friends / Pop a top or two and talk about way back when / It’s been too long no matter how long it’s been / Right now I really need a beer with my friends,” goes the cans-up chorus.

Shy Carter is a fresh faced country singer with hit making roots as a pop songwriter and producer, having already found success with everyone from Kane Brown and Keith Urban to Charlie Puth and Nelly. “Beer With My Friends” follows the positivity-preaching debut single, “Good Love,” and this fall he’ll join Tyler Rich on his Two Thousand Miles Tour for 16 shows across the West Coast. He was chosen this year as one of Sounds Like Nashville’s 2021 Artists to Watch.
