Steven Tyler Announces Plans to Release a Country Album

Steven Tyler

It’s official – Steven Tyler is going country!

After months of being spotted in and around Nashville and much speculation, the Aerosmith frontman visited the Grand Ole Opry Tuesday evening to announce plans to release a country album.

Tyler appeared on stage following singer/songwriter Eric Paslay’s performance, and that isn’t a coincidence because the pair has actually been doing some writing together (check out Tyler’s recent Tweet below).

While nothing is confirmed, it’s rumored that Steven Tyler has signed onto the Big Machine Records imprint, also home to Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, and Rascal Flatts.

It’s no surprise that the 67-year-old has decided to make the move to country music. In the past, he’s collaborated with artists such as Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.

Are you excited to hear Steven Tyler’s new music?
