Tenille Townes captures the pure-hearted wonder of youth in her new track, “The Most Beautiful Things,” a powerful reminder that life is what we make it.

Aiming to bring some positivity into a world at war with COVID-19, the rising star filled her new track with thoughtful piano and reflective vocals — all about the bottomless well of hope and optimism inside each child. The delicate track takes on a soothing-lullaby feel as it unfolds, and Townes brings it to life through some creative film work. Casting her young cousin Evvy in the lead role, Townes recorded and edited the clip herself, putting an innocent face to lines like “Maybe the most beautiful things in this life, are felt and never seen.”

“We were all once a little kid, full of wonder, and seeing the beauty in anything,” Townes explains. “We were unafraid to be ourselves, relentlessly willing to dream the craziest of dreams because we weren’t scared of failing, or of what anyone else thought. I hope this song helps people remember what that felt like. Holding on to the love we have for each other and the most beautiful things around us, even in hard times, is what keeps that feeling alive. It makes me so thankful to get to put out this song right now in the times we are in.”

The “Somebody’s Daughter” singer performed the track live during the pre-show social media broadcast of Sunday night’s (April 5) ACM Presents: Our Country, and last week she teamed up with a team of fellow rising stars for an encouraging cover of “Lean On Me.”
