Friday (8/14) was a big day for The Band Perry. Not only did the group premiere their brand new single, “Live Forever,” on “Good Morning America,” they also released the music video for the song.

The video was directed by Collin Tilley and features both narrative and performance by TBP in a new and unique performance space called THE CUBE.

THE CUBE is an immersive, mobile musical performance space with walls made of huge rear-projection screens that bear kinetic visuals. Debuted at The Band Perry’s fan club party at this past June, fans enter into THE CUBE and are placed right inside the music’s energy while The Band Perry performs for them on a centralized stage, in face-to-face proximity with the crowd. Everyone inside THE CUBE is completely surrounded by filmed visuals, light, and music.

“Well, ‘Live Forever’ is one of the ‘kingpin’ songs on the new album,” Kimberly Perry tells Radio.com of the song. “The whole spirit of the song feels like everything we were experiencing as we were making this album. It was a song that we wrote with RedOne, and a buddy of ours named Jenna Andrews. RedOne is known for all of the Lady Gaga songs, he did Nicki Minaj‘s ‘Starship,’ he’s great at big, anthemic melody. He brought in that opening line at the chorus, and we were like, ‘Oh, this is a song that we have to write today.’ It was such a blast.”

“Live Forever” is the lead single from The Band Perry’s upcoming new album.
