Thomas Rhett has unveiled another romantic masterpiece dedicated to his wife, Lauren Akins, releasing the dreams-come-true anthem “Us Someday.”

Part of upcoming Where We Started album, which will arrive on April 1, the feel-good track was co-written by TR with his dad, Rhett Akins, plus Jesse Frasure and Amy Wadge, and the hit maker first shared it with fans back in September of 2020 — just as it was being written.

Back then it was a simple acoustic ditty, all about a wide-eyed kid imagining the future with his girl — and how all things are possible, as long as love remains. But now it’s evolved. Fully produced around that same core of romantic optimism, the new version takes on a sweeping orchestral-pop feel. And why not, since TR and Lauren’s life has indeed ended up pretty epic?

“For me, this song is sort of talking to Lauren at 19 years old telling her, ‘I know you think this is crazy, but I believe all of these things are going to happen for us.’ And now here we are, over 10 years later, and most of those things actually happened, which is just the wildest thing,” he said in a statement. “I also love how different this song sounds from the rest on the project, it opens with just strings and a vocal. I hope people will listen and be able to relate with their own relationships.”

TR is right to acknowledge that he and Lauren’s dreams have mostly come true. The couple recently welcomed a fourth daughter to the world, with Lillie Carolina born on November 15 — and according to Lauren’s Instagram, she just took the older girls to Disney World.

Meanwhile, Thomas Rhett’s career continues to sizzle — both on and off the stage. The former ACM Entertainer of the Year has now introduced a new version of his Dos Primos tequila brand, announcing a reposado option to go along with the upscale spirit’s original blanco recipe.

“When Jeff and I started the Dos Primos Tequila company four years ago, we knew we wanted to continue to expand our tequila family,” said Thomas Rhett. “We’ve been so blown away by the response to our blanco and couldn’t be more pumped to now introduce a reposado together. Similar to our original goal, we’ve worked hard to make this as versatile as possible and seamlessly fit into any activity, regardless of the time of year.”

Dos Primos Tequila Reposado is competitively priced with other ultra-premium tequilas within its category, and it will be available in a 750 ml bottle in select U.S. markets beginning in March 2022. Thomas Rhett has also released the tracks “Church Boots,” “Angels” and the current Top 20-and-rising single, “Slow Down Summer.”
