The new clip for Thomas Rhett and Maren Morris’ collaboration “Craving You” is officially here and it’s the high-impact action movie we never knew we needed. The two team up for a robbery spree, with Rhett as a punch-throwing ruffian and Morris acting as his gun-wielding accomplice.
The nearly six-minute clip bounces back and forth between Rhett’s life of crime and his wife at home, with his real-life (pregnant) bride Lauren starring in the role.
The movie-quality trailer fits closely with the image the Georgia native had for the song from the first moment he heard it.
“I remember hearing ‘Craving You’ and was immediately blown away by the story behind the longing of this guy who can’t wait to see his girl again,” the singer said when the song was released. “There’s this 80s vibe that’s rocking throughout this track that makes it really euphoric. It was so nice to be able to work with Maren whose voice is undeniably powerful and soulful, and just really adds a lot of intensity to the song.”
“Craving You” is the lead single from Rhett’s upcoming album. No further details on the project are available at this time.
