When veteran and singer-songwriter Jerri was in Nashville, Tennessee to support the Crown Royal Purple Crown Project, she had no clue she was going to get the surprise of her life from Thomas Rhett.

Rhett, who partnered with Crown Royal for the project in 2018, came to meet Jerri as she was shooting a PSA for Crown Royal. He also surprised her with two tickets to the 2019 CMA Awards.

The Crown Royal Purple Bag Project is an effort to pack 1 million care packages for active-duty service members serving overseas by the end of 2020. At the CMA Awards, Jerri shared the stage with co-host Reba McEntire to encourage fans who were 21 or older to help the organization meet its goal.

Fans 21 and up can support the Crown Royal Purple Bag Project by texting “PURPLEBAG” to 50155 and following Crown Royal on Twitter.
