After finding huge success with hits like “Die a Happy Man,” “Crash and Burn,” and “T-Shirt,” Thomas Rhett is extending the track list of his current album for the deluxe edition of Tangled Up.

The upcoming edition of Tangled Up will feature all of the favorites off the previous release, but will also be filled with never-been-heard cuts including a duet of “Die a Happy Man” with pop singer Tori Kelly. Another special song added to the mix will be a track Rhett wrote about his wife, Lauren, with his dad right after he and his bride tied the knot.

“’Star of the Show” is one of those songs that I have lived with for a while and kept coming up as a song we needed to record and get to the fans,” said Rhett. “I wrote it with my dad right after I got married, and it was the first song I ever wrote about Lauren. It was a staple in our set before we had any hits and fans still request it to this day. The Deluxe allows us to thank our fans for an incredible year by putting out a few new songs like this one, and also by reworking a couple of favorites by adding some friends into the mix.”

The deluxe edition of Tangled Up will host 18 tracks and will be available for purchase on October 28, with “Star of the Show” hitting country radio on Friday, September 30.

In the meantime, Rhett is also preparing for his next step in his music career by plotting the follow-up release to Tangled Up. While his schedule gets a little hectic and his strong impact on country music influencing where his career is headed, he still plans to keep his creativity flowing for his third studio album.

“By the time ‘Die A Happy Man’ had gone #1, I was like geez, I better start really getting back in the swing of things,” explained Rhett. “As an artist, I think you feel like you have to turn around so fast. I’ve gotta do this and gotta do this. You really do have time to be creative. If you don’t take that time to be creative, then you’re gonna put something out that’s not worth anybody’s time, in my opinion or at least for myself. But I’ve already been out on the road writing a ton. I’m not even necessarily writing for me. I’m just writing songs to try to figure out which direction my brain wants to go, what kind of songs I want to write, where I’m at in my life right now, what kind of content do I want to write about. So it’s just really fun to get back in and be creative again and start that process again of just like well, what are we gonna do different on this one that we didn’t do on the second one that can really up the game?”

With all of this music coming from Rhett within the next few months, fans of the country star definitely have a lot to look forward to. First though, Rhett will continue touring for the year and head across the pond to perform a few shows as well. Information can be found on his website HERE.
