Tim McGraw compliments his own romantic radar in the smiling new track, “Good Taste in Women,” releasing the suave standout today (August 7).

An upbeat romper featuring bright vocals and a steady backbeat, the song is sung by a guy who’s not necessarily into the finer things in life — but when it comes to love, he’s a connoisseur. In different hands that might be seen as an anthem to playing the field, but not from McGraw. Famously married to fellow country superstar, Faith Hill, it comes off here as way of lifting up your one-and-only, and celebrating a mature marriage. Hill even makes a cameo in the track’s lyric video, with McGraw playfully pouncing on her for the clip’s closing frames.

“I might light cheap beer and real bad jokes / Trucks that don’t start and quick stop smokes / But I got good, taste, in women / Yeah I sleep like a baby in a Motel 6 / I like dive bar bands that can’t sing a lick / But I got good, taste, in women,” goes the chorus.

“Good Taste in Women” is a another release in the run up to McGraw’s new album, Here on Earth, which comes out August 21 and marks his first studio project since rejoining Big Machine Records. He’s already dropped the project’s first single, “I Called Mama,” it’s title track and “Hallelujahville,” and teased tracks like “Damn Sure Do.”
