Country superstar Tim McGraw has updated a feel-good Christmas tune from back in 2011, re-releasing “Christmas All Over the World” as nations continue to struggle with a global pandemic.

With a lighthearted theme of seasonal joy and all-in-this-together warmth, the track strikes just the right tone of hope and togetherness for the coming Christmas holiday — with one of country’s best-loved artists delivering the message.

Written by Daniel Tashian and Troy Verges, the upbeat tune speaks to different cultures around the world, and how Christmas celebrations can tie them together. Whether it’s stringing a cactus with twinkling lights or hanging mistletoe in Tokyo, McGraw says the spirit of the season makes a community of us all, and he echoed that sentiment on social media.

“There’s nothing that brings us all together quite like the holiday season,” McGraw notes. “It’s almost that time of year… get into the spirit with “Christmas All Over The World.”

The track was released alongside “It Wasn’t His Child,” which McGraw sang for the 2020 CMA Country Christmas Special. And meanwhile, McGraw has been getting in the spirit of an entirely different role.

The hit maker and acclaimed actor is set to star alongside his country-star wife, Faith Hill, in the upcoming Paramount+ original series, 1883. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the show is the highly anticipated prequel to the Emmy-nominated Kevin Costner favorite, Yellowstone, and McGraw shared a Happy Halloween post on location in Montana, sporting a thick black beard (and a nice pumpkin carving).

1883 tells the story of the Dutton family’s journey to what would eventually become the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, and is set to premiere on Sunday, December 19 on Paramount+.
