Trace Adkins puts a sensual spin on staying in with his new track, “Better Off,” and shows off its creation in the song’s official video.

Featuring Adkins and his band laying the smoldering song down in the studio, the clip is a simple look at Adkins’ recording process — with a few made-for-the-camera smiles and stage moves added in. Using his rumbling baritone to its full effect, the country favorite croons about needing some one-on-one time with his lady … and how just about everything around them would be better in the “off” position, from the thoughts in her head to the dress on her shoulders.

Put the lock on the door, drop the needle on the record / Kick your shoes on the floor, turn this night on to eleven / But those thoughts in your head, and those pillows on your bed / And that dress, these lights, they’re all … better off,” Adkins sings.

In related news, the outspoken patriot recently took part in PBS’ 2020 National Memorial Day Concert to deliver “If The Sun Comes Up” in the nation’s capitol, and has been back in the recording studio with an EP in the works.
