Country newcomer Travis Denning makes the most of the quarantine in his new video for “Sitting By a Fire,” bringing a socially-distant standout to life.

Unintentionally perfect for the times, Denning co-wrote the track with Rhett Akins and Jeremy Stover about choosing the warmth of true love over a night out with friends. But now that COVID-19 has made that a choice that a given, “Sittin’ By a Fire” reminds listeners there are a few positive aspects of being apart. Featuring an acoustic guitar melody and Denning’s tender vocal presentation, he vividly tributes the flame of passion in his significant other’s eyes.

Sittin’ by a fire, she’s pullin’ back her hair / You oughta see the spark there in her eyes, man I ain’t goin’ nowhere / Whatever this is I got my arms around, it’s burnin’ too hot to let it go out / And I ain’t ever felt the way I’m feelin’ right now, sittin’ by a fire,” goes the hot-blooded hook.

“Sittin’ By a Fire” is part of Denning’s recently released Beer’s Better Cold EP, which also features his Top 5 radio hit of a debut single, “After a Few.” Check out the fiery video above.
