Travis Denning spells out a brilliant breakup plan in the clever new kiss off, “Abby,” saying goodbye to a relationship that’s more trouble than it’s worth.

Written by Ashley Gorley, Matt Jenkins and Chase McGill, the foot-tapping anthem features a smart aleck sense of humor and a unique approach to dumping your soon-to-be ex. Denning starts the track off by telling his girlfriend that they’re breaking up, and when she asks if it’s because there’s somebody else, the response is a bit of a redneck riddle. “Her name is Abby / that’s Any Body But You,” Denning sings.

“The minute I heard this song I knew I had to record it, because my instant reaction was ‘Man, I wish I had written that,’” the guitar shredding newcomer says. “I feel like anyone who has gone through a breakup can relate to it in some way and wishing they had a response as bold as ‘Any Body But You.’ We’ve played it out on the road live a few times and the reaction has been wild. I’m excited that more people are getting to hear this song. It’s a fun one.”

“Her name is Abby, that’s Any Body But You / She’ll have a bad little body, be the life of the party, drink a cold beer too / Won’t make me, go crazy, like you-know-who / And her name is Abby, that’s anybody but you,” goes the cunning chorus.

“Abby” arrives as Dunning’s current single “After A Few,” continues to climb through country’s Top 20, and the Georgia native will join Sam Hunt for The Southside Summer Tour starting May 28 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
