Walker Hayes embraces everyday insanity in the video for his lump-in-your-throat single, “Don’t Let Her,” casting his wife and six kids in a clip that celebrates family in all its messy, chaotic beauty.

Filmed at Hayes’ real-life home with zero production add ons — no hair or makeup, no fancy clothes, no professional lighting, just two cameras and the family doing its thing — it’s a video that will warm your heart, and should definitely look familiar to parents of young children. With toys everywhere and kids literally flying through the air, it’s a charming look at the humble reality of Hayes’ life, and it presents the viewer with a simple equation: big family = big love.

“Don’t Let Her” was co-written by Hayes with Shane McAnally and Andrew DeRoberts, and was originally inspired by his experience of being away from the family for long stretches of time. With Hayes’ always-quirky flow matching tender-to-the-core lyrics, it now works like a secret set of instructions on how to treat the love of his life if he ever were to pass away. But the video is a straight up celebration of everything they share in the here and now — craziness included.

Hayes is about to head overseas for a week-long tour of the U.K., and will then head back stateside for a few dates through the end of the year. He’s currently working on a yet-to-be announced album release.
