Dan + Shay have put a live-performance spin on their latest single “I Should Probably Go to Bed,” recording the track for a stunning new video clip.

Stripping the torchy track down to just a piano and a pair of voices, the new version puts the focus on Shay Mooney’s unreal range — and a blast of duo harmonies that float in like an out-of-body experience. Recorded live at Nashville’s Ocean Way Studio while the duo is off the road, they guys say they hope it reminds fans what they’re missing until touring resumes.

“2020 has been difficult not being able to tour and connect with all of you in person, so we felt like this was the next best thing,” Dan + Shay wrote on Instagram. “Hopefully when you listen to it or watch the video, you feel a bit of the magic of a concert.”

All about the hopeless feel of seeing an ex too soon, “I Should Probably Go to Bed” was co-written by Dan + Shay and produced by the band’s Dan Smyers. It follows up the massive crossover success of “10,000 Hours” (with Justin Bieber), and is already inside the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Country chart. The duo will perform at next weeks 55th annual ACM Awards.
